SPEAKING SECTION
Task 1 |
Which of the following jobs do you think is the most challenging, doctor, policeman or
government official? Give specific reasons and details in your answer. |
Sample response |
I think being a policeman is the most challenging for the following reasons. First, being a
policeman means you will be dealing with difficult people all the time. A police officer is in close
contact with criminals on daily basis. That could be pretty stressful even dangerous. Second,
being a policeman also means you can't have a regular schedule. My uncle used to be a
policeman. He was ready to report to duty all the time, and it didn’t matter if it was the weekend or
right in the night. When he got beeped, he had to be on his way to the station right away. |
Task 2 |
Some people enjoy indoor activities that are not every intensive, others prefer to do outdoor
activities that are more challenging. Which do you prefer? Explain why. |
Sample response |
I prefer to do indoor sports for the following reasons. First of all, working out in the gym
means I can exercise regardless of the weather. For example, it doesn't matter how hard it snows
or rains. I can still have fun playing badminton with my friends. During summer days that are
crazy hot, we can exercise without getting sun burnt indoors. Second, indoor activities are less
intensive. That mean we don't get injured that easily comparing to doing outdoor sports like
skiing or snowboarding. Indoor sports like yoga are more soothing, or relaxing. |

Task 5 |
【学生困难】The woman left her art history notes on the train and she has to take the exam the
next Friday
方案一:借笔记
评价:女生从没借过笔记,怕对考试有不好影响
方案二:晚上去上课
评价:晚上答应去同学的音乐会,会冲突 |
Sample response |
The girl has encountered a problem that she left her art history notes on the train and she has to take the exam the
next Friday. The first is to borrow the notes from her friend in the class. Another one is to take the class tonight. Personally, I recommend the second solution. Because first, she can know exactly the content of the class which will definitely be beneficial to her exam. And second, she has never borrowed others' notes before, and it’s unsure that how much it can help,
and it might have a negative impact on the exam. |
