When it comes to accomplish a task, some people would like to do it right now in order to finish on time, while others leave it until they get good point to do the task. I’m definitely the first kind of person. And I will feel guilty and stress if I do the work just few days before deadline. Besides, I can fully prepared for my work—the materials, the data and modified opportunity.
Firstly, doing a work right now leaves me enough time to find materials I need in the library or on the internet. As a undergraduate student, it is not easy for me to do an assignment without looking up academic books. Without enough resources and data， it is impossible to accomplish an assignment from an overall view. Many students who got a low score in their assignments just for the reason that they don’t have enough time to search for the information they need. By doing an assignment immediately, we can avoid such problems as date deficiency.
Another reason for my view is that we have time to modify the work by starting it early. Works done rush often contain many errors between lines. Because the work should be showed to audiences or teachers right away, we always have no time to review it again, not mention modifying the errors. I used to finish a work 2-3 days before the deadline and review the work at least twice. And I also ask help from my instructors or classmates for ideas in order to perfect my job. I think it is a necessary step to modify the work before submitting.
I have to concede that some people who wait to do it until a good idea came up from their minds have their own reasons. Sometime we do a work, especially a creative one, we just want to finish it immediately rather than make it perfect. The best ideas sometimes can’t generated until we encounter with special people or event one day. We inspired by them and then got perfect idea on what we should write and how to organize the whole work. A job started with a good idea always ended up with high quality and good result.
Generally speaking, doing a job right now and waiting a good idea are all ways people choose to do things. Each approach has their advantages and disadvantages. I think, if you already have a good idea and you believe it is all you want, it is better to start the work now. Leaving time to get resources and modifying the original work are inevitable stage in every creating process, thus, we must have enough time to do so.
