The after school activity I enjoy participating in the most is taking photos for the
following reasons. First photography teaches me how to appreciate life. I started playing more attention to my surrounding since I began taking photos.
I’ve learned you can find beauty in the most unlikely places if you slow down and take a closer look. For example, an ordinary street sign can become a cute funny face if you shoot it from a certain angle. Also, photography brings
me closer to nature. I used to be a bit a shut-in. but ever since I got interested in photography,I spend most of my weekends in parks taking photos. I’ve even lost a few pounds thanks to the long walks I took finding pretty things to shoot! |

Some people like to spend their spare time with family members and friends,
some people like to spend it alone. Which do you prefer? |

I would love to choose to spend time with my families on weekends. First, I usually spend
most of my time in the library working on my class assignments and research. I don’t
have much time to talk to my parents during week days. It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s
just I’m too busy to.
Also, all of our families love cooking. Weekends provide us with a great opportunity to
cook together and catch up with one another. We’d talk about the funny things we ran into at school or work. |

The university requires students to finish a 16-hour community service before
graduation. The woman agrees. First, this can help students determine their
major and interests, her cousin was in this program a few years ago and it went
well, she changed her major to education and now works as a teacher in an
elementary school. Second, it will benefit the community, students can help
start new projects with their knowledge and skills, the students from cousin’s
university started a gardening project and since then, the community has been
using it. |

Search image is a mental image or picture kept in an animal’s mind to help it
locate preys. For example, insects like caterpillars are green and they blend
in pretty well with green leaves, so it’s difficult for birds to locate them on a green leaf, after a while, the birds started noticing that there are some quite special features on the caterpillars like they have antennas and different bodies, so birds now can find the insects and eat them. |

The man is a graduate and he teaches a bunch of university students,
sometimes they don’t understand the assignments and reading materials and
they don’t give feedbacks either. There are two solutions. First, he can arrange a
one on one meeting and get direct feedbacks. It will make students
uncomfortable. Second, he can do a survey to find out but students usually
don’t take surveys seriously. For me, I suggest that he should arrange a one on
one meeting. Although students may feel uncomfortable, they may get used to
it soon. |
