Task 1

上过的两个学校,解释两个学校的区别

It seems to be difficult to compare two formal schools that I learned in my study life, because they were in different level. However, there were two English language training center I’ve been in that I could compare. They are totally different. One language training school mainly focus on following several definite rules and sentences models and I did a lot of exercises based on tests. Initially, I believed that it could be very useful for my language ability test. But, after learning in another language training school, I found that rules and models might not enough to improve. Because teachers their always care about our creative thinking and encourage us to learn English via doing tasks.

 

Task 2

艺术家的天赋是天生的还是通过后天刻苦训练完成的.

Sample response

I think some people were born with arts talents. First, some violinist shows their talents even they are just three or four years. It might not be possible for a kids or even infants to train themselves intentionally. For example, Mozart, he was born with sensitivity of sound and music. Actually, nobody taught him like composing, music etc. However, to be a talented artist, even though they are not through some hard training, the living condition and life background could be important. Many artists, like musicians and painters, live in we call an art family. Meaning  their mothers used to be a violinist or their father used to be a famous painter. These kids in that kind of family might probably be influence by their parents.

 

Task 3

【提议】阅读建议:在学生宿舍中增加kitchen. 理由1)give an alternative to eating。理由2)having fun to prepare and eat with friends

【学生议论】男学生同意该提议

理由1:学校餐厅的饭不好吃,如果有食堂就有了另外一个选择

理由2:除了有乐趣以外,还能在准备饭的同时彼此互相学习

Sample response

The university suggested to add a kitchen in students’ dormitory. They were supposed to give students an alternative place to eat and also, to give students chance to have fun when preparing and eating with their friends. The man agreed this suggestion. First, the food in university canteen didn’t taste well. The new kitchen in the dormitory could provide students another choice. Second, on top of having more fun, it would be good for students to communicate and learn from each other when doing preparation for the meal.

 

 

Task 4

【名词解释】Internal attribute: 将事物发生的原因归结自己的内在问题,而不是外界因素

 

【教授举例】听力教授举自己的例子解释这个概念。具体为:该教授青少年时期在一家公司工作,负责整理文件。他遇到困难总是不能及时完成工作。该教授没有抱怨老板也没有抱怨工作太多而是想办法提高自己的能力。最后教授提高自己的能力,能按时完成工作,变得非常擅长自己的工作。

Sample response

The professor used his own working experience to illustrate what is internal attribute. Basically, internal attribute means people always try to find the causes from themselves when things happens while not complaining other outside factors. He used to work in a company when he was young and in charge of managing files. The problem was that he always couldn’t finish the work in time. But he tried many ways to improve his own working skills instead of complaining the work load. And finally, the professor not only could finish the work in time but also were getting used to that work.

 

 

Task 5

【学生困难】男学生遇到的问题是时间冲突。一方面他要去机场接朋友,另一方面他想去参加以为作者的演讲

方案一:告诉朋友自己会迟到(提到的好处有:老朋友可以理解他迟到,这个朋友还可以自己在机场逛逛,吃点东西读书。缺点是朋友大老远跑来看他,不好意思迟到。

方案二:  2 不去参加的演讲。(提到非常想去,如果错过不会有第二次机会)

Sample response

There was a conflict. The man had to pick up his friends but at the same time he was supposed to attend a speech as an author. Two solutions for this man. One is to tell his friend that he might be late to arrive the airport and another is that he didn’t attend the speech. I would probably choose the first one. First, even though he might let his friends wait for some time, he is his old friend and would understand this man. And also, it would not be very boring waiting in the airport because his friend could visit shops and have something to eat and read. Second, there might not be a second chance for him if he was absent from the speech.

 

 

Task 6

【讲课要点】

生物课堂上老师讲解了有些树能够活很长时间的原因—树的适应性。主要有两个方面。

  通过释放化学物质避免虫害。举例为red wood,树叶和树干中含有天宁酸,所以虫子不能忍受这种物质,所以不会去吃red wood.

  发达的根系可以帮助在风暴中幸存下来。举例仍为red wood. 说首先有发达的根系stretch every direction, 以及还可以与周围的树木的根系相组合。互相缠绕在暴风中就不会有问题。

 

Sample response

In the lecture, the professor talked about two aspects of adaption of trees. In another words, the adaption might be one reason that trees could live for a very long time. First, trees could avoid being threatened by generating chemicals. For example red wood tree. TN acid is included in the barks and leaves which insects do not like it so that they will not eat red wood. Second, the well developed root systems of trees help trees survived in storms. Also the red wood,  the root system of it could even combine with other root system nearby and work out together.
