新概念二册Lesson35 Stop thief！抓贼！课文讲的是一个原来开出租现在开公交车的司机，路见小偷，见义勇为的故事。
Judy：大家有没有在路上见过小偷？有没有上前制止？（话音刚落，学生纷纷举手。我要求大家用英语讲述，这里挑两个有趣的跟大家分享。）
学生甲：One day, my mom took a bus to a supermarket. On the bus, my mom saw a thief steal a man's pocket, then my mom shouted: What are you doing? The thief  took a knife, my mom saw it and scared, then she got off the bus. The thief saw my mom get off the bus, he got off the bus,too. My mom run and run, the thief run and run,too. Then my mom run into a department store, the thief run into it, too. My mom went upstairs to 5th floor, the thief run to 5th floor, too. Then my mom run downstairs to 1st floor, the thief run to 1st floor, too. Then my mom went into a lady's room and called my dad, then my dad came and took my mom home.
（有一天，我妈妈坐车去超市。在车上，我妈看见小偷偷一个人的口袋，然后就大叫一声：你干嘛？小偷掏出一把刀。我妈一看，吓坏了，赶紧下车。小偷见我妈下车了，也赶紧下车了。我妈跑啊跑，小偷追啊追，我妈跑进一家百货商店，小偷也跑进去。我妈跑上5楼，小偷追到5楼。我妈又跑到1楼，小偷追到1楼。后来我妈跑进女厕所，给我爸打电话，然后我爸来了，把我妈接回家。）

全班学生：你妈够能跑的啊～～～～

学生乙：One day, a thief took a knife and steal my classmate.
（有一天，一个小偷拿出刀，偷我同学。）
Judy:  How old is your classmate?
（你同学几岁？）
学生乙： 11。
Judy： （睁大眼睛）What?! Only 11 years old, and the thief took out a knife?!
（什么？只有11岁，那小偷居然还拿把刀？）
学生乙：My classmate has a lot of money.
（我同学很有钱。）
Judy: Really? So how much did the thief took away from your classmate?
（是嘛，那小偷从你同学那拿了多少？）
学生乙： 2 yuan.
（2 块。）
全班：哈哈哈哈。。。。。
Judy: What?! You said your classmate has a lot of money, why only 2 yuan?
（什么？ 你不是说你同学很有钱嘛，怎么只拿了2块？）
学生乙： 因为他都买吃的了，身边只剩2元。
Judy: And then?
（那然后呢？）
学生乙：He looked for a guard.
（他去找保安。）
Judy: And...?
（然后。。。）
学生乙：The guard caught the thief.
（保安把小偷抓住了。）
全班：哈哈。。。劫持一个11岁的小朋友，居然手里拿着刀，最后还被人抓住，这小偷也太衰了～～
