昂立外语【新概念培训】分享pick的有趣用法吧。Pick在我们的英语生活当中很常见也很常用，不过在新三和新二当中，pick几乎都逃不出两种用法。例如：

         Lesson1  A puma at large “…a woman picking blackberries saw 'a large cat' only five yards away from her.”

         这里的pick便取其基本的意思之一，采摘。

         Lesson20 Pioneer pilots The 'Antoinette' floated on the water until Latham was picked up by a ship.

         这里是pick up的基本意思之一，“接某人，搭乘”，也可以理解成形象的“拾起”。哈哈！

         其实虽然pick可能还有很多其他细分的意思，但是我觉得都离不开“拾，采”等等本质的意思，所以我们接下来要看的就是pick的生动形象有趣的用法。

         Don’t pick your nose in front of me!

         哈哈！挖鼻孔怎么说？对！就是它了，pick one’s nose!是不是某些熟悉的表情就出现了？因此pick your teeth的意思也就是剔牙齿了！

         I’m going to pick (some) flowers.注意，此委婉说法仅限于女性，其实意思是go to the toilet. 是不是惊到了，哈哈！

         How exciting to see the renowned the professor in face! So Lucy just kept picking his brains!

         想象一下一个人一直在别人脑袋那里采摘……会是什么意思呢？对！意为to ask sb a lot of questions about sth because they know more about the subject than you do，“(不断)讨教提问”。

         It was a foolish thing pick a fight with his neighbour.  找茬，挑起战争，挑起矛盾。

         She used to be picked on in school because she was dark and short, just like an ugly duckling.

         于是我们能猜出“pick on sb” means “to find fault with sb and to treat sb unfairly”.找茬，欺负某人。

         She didn’t waste time feeling sorry for herself-she just picked herself up and 

carried on running.

         体会这个场景，我们能知道，这句话肯定是很励志的，那么pick oneself up也就是stand up again after you have fallen and gather courage for yourself and return to the right course (figurative).

         另外，pick up girls还有泡妞的意思哦！搭讪吧！嘻嘻！
