歌词向听众娓娓道来了女生对于美好恋情的无限回忆，以及对所爱之人的深切忏悔。把歌词fear crept into my mind中的crept说成是爬行显然并不很合适，在翻译的时候我们可以用拟人化的手法来说：恐惧悄然爬上我心头。Webster上有一条释义适用于在这里的creep所表示的意思，to enter or advance gradually so as to be almost unnoticed，在Ruby看来这可以理解为“逐渐蔓延，悄然滋生”。比如，当一个人说话的语气中渐有怒意，我们就可以说，A note of irritation crept into his voice。
