那么说到short， 最简单的用法就是做形容词，修饰具体的人和物，表示个头矮或是长度短;short也可修饰抽象的事物。

杂志《USA Today》2011期有一篇报道，标题叫”How to balance saving for short- and long-term goals ”。这篇报道主要讲述的是如何去平衡短期和长期投资之间的比率。short此时修饰抽象名词goal.
