If you do something as a matter of course, you do it as part
of your normal work or way of life.

3.”on/off course “在正确路线上/偏离正确路线
If a ship or aircraft is on course, it is traveling along the correct route. If it is off course,
it is no longer traveling along the correct route.
例：The ship was sent off course into shallow waters.

4.”on course for...” 极有可能得到…
If you are on course for something, you are likely to achieve it.
例：The company is on course for profits of $20m.
