   还有一个俗语“鹬蚌相争，渔翁得利。”When the snipe and the clam grapple; it is the fisherman who profits. 这里涉及到历史典故，战国时期赵国准备攻打燕国，燕王派苏代去赵国游说赵王不要战争，讲述一只河蚌在岸上夹住一只鹬鸟的长嘴，双方争执不让，最后被一个渔翁轻易擒住。如果燕赵发生战争，秦国就像渔翁那样轻易吞并燕赵。赵王只好放弃战争的打算。

 《老人与海》是海明威于1951年在古巴写的一篇中篇小说，是海明威最著名的作品之一。它围绕一位老年古巴渔夫，与一条巨大的马林鱼在离岸很远的湾流中搏斗而展开故事的讲述，建议同学们深入细读。
