昂立外语【新概念培训】分享的小词cover随处可见，新二新三都有提到，句句经典，下面大家就跟着Vanilla老师一起来回忆一下我们新概念课文中出现的cover吧！

 1. 新二Lesson 5 (No wrong numbers)——The bird covered the distance in three minutes.            (cover：v. 越过)

2. 新二Lesson 52 (A pretty carpet)——At the moment, they cover every inch of floor space and I actually have to walk on them to get in or out of the room.           (cover：v. 覆盖)

3. 新三Lesson 15 (Fifty pence worth of trouble)——George took off his jacket, rolled up his sleeves and pushed his right arm through the drain cover.    (cover：n. 盖子；覆盖物)  

 那么说到cover，Vanilla要和大家来分享电影台词中出现的cover的用法~~

 很受小朋友们欢迎的电影《Garfield 加菲猫》中有一句经典台词：

Pooky. Cover me. I'm goin' in.　

波基，掩护我，我要行动了。

这句话中的cover是动词，解释为“掩护”。

另外，著名电影《V字仇杀队》中有一句经典台词：

Artists used the lies to tell the truth, while politicians used them to cover the truth up.

艺术家用谎言道出真相，政客用谎言掩盖真相。

这句话中的cover也是动词，但解释为“掩盖”。

还有，cover作名词还有封面的意思，所以我的第一幅插图Cover Girls就是“封面女生”的意思，如下图展示的就是一本书的封面：
