再来看例句：No one suspected the anguish he carried on his shoulders. （没人觉察出他所承担的痛苦。），显然，这里解释为“（问题、责任等）由…承担，落在…肩上”。
那么shoulder有没有其他用法呢？童鞋们来看一下这句例句：He has had to shoulder the responsibility of his father's mistakes.
（他得为他父亲的过错承担责任。）我们可以判断这里的shoulder是动词，解释为“承担”。
除了解释为“承担”外，还可以解释为“扛、背。”
