That adds up to 300 yuan. Food will account for another 30% because food is expensive here.

Then you should keep 10% for transport, since occasionally you may need to take a taxi to go to places. And another 10% should be reserved for books and periodicals.

Finally, you should set aside about 10% for entertainment. It’s true that you are here to study, but all work and no play is not the proper way to study.

After all these expenses, you will be left with 100 yuan for a rainy day.
