My view on preliminary interpretation

Preliminary interpretation test is a kind of test that check your translation and oral English skills. The examinees may meet many challenges because they not only have to improve their English but also their Chinese. Why do I say it?

Firstly, the examinees need to listen to a passage in English, then translate it into Chinese. Maybe in the passage the grammar are opposite to that of Chinese, you must have a good foundation of both languages and change it properly.

Secondly, there are many new words while preparing for the test. On the one hand, you need a big brain to remember them. On the other hand, you need a good pronunciation because in the test there is a part to check your passage reading skills.

As these reasons above, I chose to attend Only College's Preliminary Interpretation Course, which is very famous in Shanghai. Although my mother was against me at first since she thought I should learn my English well at school. But I told her many of my classmates and friends have attended the class and have got the certificate. Finally my mother agreed. After studying here in Vivian Yang's class.

Our teacher Vivian, is a very kind , wise and gracious lady. She seldom criticizes us, we really like her. I learned a lot during the past three months.

She taught us a great number of useful words every week. With active pictures and videos, we can remember them quickly. She also tells us many listening skills, so we can improve our scores while improving our listening. As for interpretation, it is the most difficult part in the test. We practiced a lot. With the help of Vivian, we make corrections and improvements. After three months' efforts, as it turned out, I really benefited a lot and I got a good score in our school's middle term examination in English. Finally I'd like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my dear teacher Vivian, thank you for your help.
