1.【原文】

Research shows that work stress is getting high across the UK, that work is dominating public sleep, with one third Britains say they dream about work more than anything else. For some Britains, working life is never far from their minds，with just over 27% at meeting they regularly dream about their boss.

【解析】

这是关于工作压力影响英国人睡眠的一项调查。Work stress的话题是基础口译口译常考的话题。内容不难听出，主要注意一些细节。

难点：词汇dominating是动词dominate的现在分词形式，控制支配的意思。One third 是分词的表达方式，一般分子以基数词如one，two，分母以序数词比如first，second。所以这里one third表示1/3.最后一句中never far from，字面翻译可以翻成‘从来没有远离’，其实就是他们一直想着，或者也可翻译成一直在脑海中回荡。

和第一题同样的考点1/3,但是这里以‘a third of’的形式出现。intake本意“摄取量”，若不知道意思，不翻译也不影响得分。

难点：词组‘Lies in’ 为‘在于’的意思。‘take into account’可译为考虑到或者重视的意思。单词dietary是从diet变来，为‘与饮食相关的’，翻译成‘饮食的’即可。

【参考答案】

据报道，三分之一的女性说他们在搬去和配偶合住后都会吃的越来越多，于是增重很多。三分之一的男性说他们倾向于缩减食物摄取量。根据营养学家们所说，原因是在于一起准备食物的夫妇，他们不会考虑到各自不同的饮食需求。

What makes ‘happy’ change as we get older? For young people, 60% of happiness is about excitement，in contrast，as we get older ,we associate 80% of happiness with contentment. Younger people generally more interested in the future. They stay happiness more on excitement. Meanwhile, old people play a higher value on the present.
