I. Statements

Directions: In this part of the test, you will hear 10 short statements. These statements will be spoken ONLY ONCE, 

and you will not find them written on the paper, so you must listen carefully. When you hear a statement, read the 

answer choices and decide which one is closest in meaning to the statement you have heard. Then write the letter of 

the answer you have chosen in the corresponding space in your ANSWER BOOKLET.

1.There is noboday in the army of this country who doesn’t know George.

解析：此题考查双重否定表肯定语气，题中提示有nobody以及doesn’t know.故George此人在部队无人不知。大家非常熟悉。

2.Mellisa, It seems that we have known each other for a long time instead of just five days.

解析：It seens that...的句式含有虚拟语气。故说话人和Mellisa实际只认识5天，但看似有很长时间了，故两人一见如故。

解析：前者问句是为告知这场电影是热映的电影服务。Hit在口语中理解为：炙手可热的的事物，正流行的事物。

5.I am fed up with your silliest excuses. Do you think I can believe you all along?

解析:对词组be fed up with的考察，其意为受够了，厌烦了。题意为：说话人已烦透了对方愚蠢的借口，并表达自己不愿相信的意味。

6.His French is so good that we can’t believe that he was not born in France.

解析：对so...that...引导的结果状语从句的理解考察，题意为：他的法语如此棒以至于我们都认为他出生于法国。在从句中又考察了对双重否定的理解。

7.It’s sunny. We’ll have a time to stop for a cup of coffee, will we?

解析：前句交代了天气，晴朗的一天，后句句式为祈使句，邀请对方停会儿喝杯咖啡。

8.Thanks to the shortcut, I can drive you to the railway station on time.

解析：thanks t多亏了，由于，shortcut:小路，捷径。故题意理解为：多亏了这条小路，我能准时开车带你去火车站。

9.Outside the newly-opened bank, there’s a board which says, ‘No Parking’.

解析：难听出的词为：newly-opened新开业的。题意为：在新开业的银行外，竖立一块书有‘不准停车’的木板。

10.It happens once in a blue moon that my maths teacher praises me in the class.

解析：once in a blue moon在英文的习语中，理解为很难得的机会，故我受老师表扬的机会不多。

II. Short Conversations

Directions: In this part of the test, you will hear 10 short conversations between two speakers. 

At the end of each conversation, A third voice will ask a question about what was said. 

The conversations and the questions will be spoken ONLY ONCE.After you hear a conversation, 

you will answer a question about it. Read the four possible answers in yout test book, and 

decide which one is the best answer to the question you have heard. Then, write the letter 

you have chosen in the corresponding space in your ANSWER BOOKLET.

W:8 o’clock? But it’s already a quarter to nine.
