高三英语模考卷选用小托福试题

近日昂立外语【小托福培训】的一位曹阳二中高三学生拿着一份高三模考卷请求老师分析错误原因，她说这份试卷难度很大，许多同学的考分均不理想，失分惨痛。老师仔细看了整张试卷后发现一篇主题为Colonies in Space(太空殖民)的选词填空文章，这篇文章和我们小托福完型阅读新版讲义Unit 3第二篇reading几乎一模一样！下图为高三模考卷的选词填空：

文章讲的的是一些科学家认为人类应该尽早探索外太空，寻找适宜人类居住的星球，另一些科学家们认为由于成本，时间，健康等原因，殖民太空不合理，最后作者指出，送人类去外太空这个想法将来一定会实现。出题类型为11选10的选词填空，文章挖了10个空，分别给出的词是：adequately, advances, neighbour, colonize, concerns, create, intensively, settlers, smart, journey, survive。【小托福培训】

若不熟悉人类殖民太空，地球资源稀缺的背景知识，或没有看过今日大热的《星际穿越》等殖民太空的电影类型，恐怕无法充分理解文章要表达的主旨。而题目给出的词汇如adequately(充分地，足够地adv.), advance(前进，推进v.)，colonize(殖民v.)，settlers(殖民者)，对于平日不善于积累多主题词汇的学生来说，也是一大障碍。【小托福培训】
