表示状态和感觉的词一般不能用于进行时，如：love，wish，believe，want等

但是，有些动词当表达意义不同时可以用进行时。

试比较：

The food smells nice.

She is smelling the food.

The tea tastes good.

He is tasting the tea.

也就是说当表示状态或感觉时不能用现在进行时，在表示动作时可以使用现在进行时。

又如：

He is sitting there for hours.

The hut sits in the forest.

He is standing on a chair.

My house stands by the lake.
