Dear Sir or Madam,

Word came that Shanghai Museum is to hold a famous painting exhibition and public suggestions on the location are being collected. I’m writing to share with you my opinions.

As far as I’m concerned, it is more reasonable to hold the painting exhibition in Shanghai Museum than in community libraries. My reasons are as follows.

On one hand, it is more convenient for residents to reach Shanghai Museum, located in the center of the city. Visitors can go there by subway and bus and so on. What’s more, Shanghai Museum is much more extensive than community libraries, providing visitors with a more comfortable environment to appreciate the famous paintings.

On the other hand, Shanghai Museum, a well-known and distinguished museum at home and abroad, is more professional in holding painting exhibitions. What’s of great significance is that not only does it provide advanced facilities and high-tech monitors but also offers professional security guards to protect those famous paintings from being damaged or stolen in the process of exhibition.

Consequently, I strongly propose that the painting exhibitions to be held in the Shanghai Museum and wish the exhibition a great success.

When it comes to the selection of the columns for the school English newspaper, opinions vary from one to another. As far as I am concerned, the columns preserved will definitely make a feature of students' interest and exert positive effects on their study and life.

Comparatively speaking, I maintain that the value of the columns concerning health and culture far outweighs that of the entertainment. The immediate factor is that nothing is more valuable than keeping healthy in that loss of health signifies kissing goodbye to life. That's why more knowledge of how to keep fit, more effectively one can improve his quality of life. The second point to be mentioned is that progress in the acquisition of cultures contributes to broadening one's horizons, which in turn facilitates one's study and the establishment of philosophy of life.

As for the addition, the career planning constitutes a top priority. For one thing, it concerns one's career development a great deal while for another, it makes a great difference to one's career success in the future.

I am pretty convinced that a wise choice makes perfect. I am writing the e-mail in the hope that my advice will add a brilliant touch to the improved version of our school English newspaper.

Word came that a reading festival would be held by our school and there is a need for a picture for advertisement and I am writing to give my opinion. From my perspective, I am in favor of the picture in the top right corner.

As is vividly depicted in that picture, around the table sit three kids with a couple of books in their hands, having a heated discussion about the contents and sharing their thoughts for the themes, which shows their dedication and passion for reading.

Basically, several reasons are listed for my preference. First, nothing is more attractive than a proper and realistic picture. This picture serves as an epitome of our daily reading scene in the school and it is apt to let students recall the joy and harvest while reading.

Second, this picture stands for the fun of sharing and exchanging ideas. With regard to reading, there is a saying that there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes. After reading, bits and pieces of thoughts will appear in our mind, so it is beneficial to have a better understanding after comparing notes about what we have read.

From what is mentioned above, I, undoubtedly, approve of the picture in the top right corner. Thus, I would appreciate it if you could take my proposal into consideration and I wish this festival a complete success.
