Nowadays, most students want to participate in volunteer work, and I share their values. So, taking part in volunteer work is the first priority for me in 2017.

Needless to say, there are many kinds of volunteer jobs for me to do. Firstly, I can help the aged people at the nursing home do some washing and cleaning and tell some interesting stories to make them happy. Secondly, during rush hours, I can work on the busy road to help the policemen direct the traffic and keep it smooth.

Volunteer work gives us young people a chance to serve others in need. It encourages us to devote ourselves to others. I can learn a lot from it despite the fact that sometimes I have to pay some cost myself. However, from it I can learn how to take care of others, and the work always gives me a sense of self-accomplishment. From what has been discussed above, volunteer work is really a cost worth paying for.

In short, participating in volunteer jobs can be rewarding to both those who serve and those who receive the service.
